Mike at the Open Mic:
This Time For Sure

I'll make sure I actually show up this time.

I'll be playing an Open Mic again this week:

Thursday October 2, 2008, 7:30 PM

Barefoot Coffee Roasters:

5237 Stevens Creek Blvd
Santa Clara, CA 95051
(408) 248-4500

(On the North-East corner of Stevens Creek and Lawrence Expressway.)

Map: HiRez - LowRez

The show runs until 10:00, but I won't know when I'll be performing until I call to book my slot at 5:00 that day.

All ages are welcome, and there is no cover charge. But buy a coffee: theirs is the best in The Valley.

I will give everyone who attends a free CD of my album Geometric Visions: The Rough Draft. Nobody gets out without their free CD!

I announce all my shows in advance at my live performance page as well as a brief listing on my homepage.

But best of all: I will make certain that I actually show up this time. I'll also make sure that I'm in practice.

If you can't make it, you'll have plenty of other opportunities: I'll be playing Barefoot every Thursday for the next couple months. Later I'll play other Open Mics at other venues around The Valley, as well as in Santa Cruz, Berkeley and San Francisco.

Starting early next year, I'll make occasional road trips to other Open Mics all up and down The Left Coast from San Diego to Vancouver, British Columbia. I can play The Soviet Republic of Canuckistan because I still have a valid work permit, despite having fled the country.

Someday I'll play all around the world.

I'll also start playing on the street soon, as a busker. I bought a battery-powered busker's amp; all I need now is to build a battery power supply for my keyboard, as it's not built to take batteries. My plan is to buy a replacement AC adapter from M-Audio, cut the transformer off, then hook the wires to a twelve volt gel cell.

(My street performances will generally be announced on my live performance schedule as well.)
